On June 5th, 2008, the Provincial Water Resources and Flood Prevention Department coordinated with Provincal Youth Federation to organize a competition named “Communication on rural clean water and environmental sanitation 2008” for unionist, youths in Doan Bu Dop District. People from six communes and a town participated the competition and they were divided into four groups. The groups had conducted four contest rounds including environmental background (first round), drawing picture on environment (second round); answering case-study questions (third round) and playing communication dramatics (fouth round). Participants who expressed their knowledge on environment, illustrated images in pictures, intelligently solved situations and especially amatuer actors’ performance with the role of clean water and rural environmental sanitation motivators made a good impression on the audiences. The first prize was awarded to two communes Tan Thanh and Tan Tien, the second prize to communes Hung Phuoc and Phuoc Thien, the third prize to Thanh Binh Township and Thanh Hoa Commune and the consolation prize to Thien Hung Commune.

The competition has help unionist and youths know that utilizing resources reasonably and protecting environment is not only the task of all levels, branches but also of each individual.
