Support to the Implementation of the National
Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Strategy

Photograph Competition and Exhibition
on Rural Water Supply and Sanitation

The Standing Office of the National Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Target Program is responsible for the coordination of government and international donor funded rural water supply and sanitation projects in Vietnam.

To accelerate the delivery of rural clean water supply and sanitation the Prime Minster has approved the National Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Strategy which seeks to use the internal strength of rural people and to develop a market for related services to support sustainable development through the adoption of socialisation, a demand responsive approach and the principle of full cost recovery with targeted subsidies.

To assist the Target Program to promote the National Strategy the Government of Denmark provides sector programme support to innovative information, education and communication activities. With this support and in cooperation with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) through The Photographic Magazine of VAPA, the Target Program is organising a national photograph competition and exhibition.
