Japan vows to help VN cleanse its water sources
Ha Noi: The Japanese Government has pledged to help Viet Nam manage
its natural resources, through the construction of a high-tech water
analysis and monitoring laboratory
The director of the National Center formally approved the US$ 3.47
million project in Hanoi yesterday for Science and Technology Dang Vu
Mink and the managing director of Mica’s Social Development
Co-operation Department Sizemore Mitsuru.
The project aims to allow researchers to use the latest methods in the
analysis and treatment of water pollution.
Japanese experts will also help Viet Nam in its research, and conduct
experiments in water resources management.
The outcomes of the experiments will be used to train environmental
students and experts.
The project is expected to begin in November and finish by 2006. The
JICA official told the opening ceremony that the agency will bring the
equipment to Vietnam very soon.
